"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering
God's grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10
Jesus said, "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been
entrusted with much, much more will be asked." We have been given much here on Amelia Island and we are blessed
to be a part of this caring community. At Amelia Plantation Chapel it is our Vision that our congregation will
witness to the Gospel of Christ and seek to share its resources to forward the Kingdom of God.
Because we feel that all we have is on loan from God, we strive to practice Christ-like Stewardship of all that
we enjoy. We seek to be fruitful, using our lives and all that we have been given to serve others and support
the work of Christ. Through our Outreach ministry, Amelia Plantation Chapel gives generously and sacrificially
to twenty-two organizations - local, national and international in scope.
We believe that each person is created for a purpose - to participate in the life of the church, and not just
be a spectator, or depend on the exertions of others. We are called to do our part through serving and giving
in one capacity or another. Through our SHAPE Ministry, we seek to empower each person to recognize and use
their gifts and potential to serve God.
We are to sow the seed of his Word, to make known the story of Jesus, to help others find the fullness of life
through Christ, to be salt and light in the world.
