Kathy Gronager-Financial Administrator

Kathy is responsible for all accounting functions at Amelia Plantation Chapel. Her duties include payroll, billing, accounts payable, contribution record-keeping, monthly financial statements, and tax reporting. In addition, she assists the Treasurer in creating and tracking yearly budgets.
Kathy was born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. She went to school in Newport, Rhode Island, receiving an Associate Arts degree and a Library Science degree. In Greenwich, Kathy worked for the Greenwich Library/School System for six years and Fairfield Financial Corporation for seven years.
Kathy is married to Holmer Gronager, former Navy pilot/navigator, pilot for Pan Am and ARAMCO, and stockbroker. After retiring and moving to Amelia Island in 1992, Kathy and Holmer traveled extensively before Kathy went to work for Community First Credit Union and then First Coast Community Bank. Then, in 2003, Kathy joined Amelia Plantation Chapel as our Financial Administrator. She says, "From the first time I came to the Chapel for an interview, I have always believed Our Lord brought me here as a very special blessing." And we are blessed as well by her gentle and loving spirit.
Kathy adds, "I have one wonderful husband, a father (93 years old) who lives close by in Yulee, one sister, five brothers, and - one cat." She loves to garden, travel, ski, hike, read, do crosswords and Suduko, spend time with family and friends and volunteer at St. Michael's Catholic Church, where she is a member.
