Dana McCoy - Chapel Nurse
  • In her position as Chapel Nurse, Dana McCoy, R.N. administers the Parish Nurse Program at Amelia Plantation Chapel. She assists members with health care needs, provides counseling and help with grief issues, and works to enhance our ministry with health-based programs. From simply taking our blood pressure to standing by our side in a medical emergency, Dana is there for our members to offer support, prayer and understanding, and to help us find God in the midst of change and crisis.
  • Dana is a graduate of the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her Parish Nursing education at Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa, and has been a Registered Nurse for over twenty years, working in various nursing disciplines.
  • Dana's roots grow deep here - her family has lived on Amelia Island for three generations, and she felt like she was coming home when she moved here in 2005. She is married to Kevin and they have two children; her daughter, Megan is 16 and son, Brett is 13. Dana began her service with Amelia Plantation Chapel in May, 2007.
